🚨 Cyber Safety Alert 🚨

Department of Police - Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli

Beware of Fake Traffic E-Challan Messages!

The Daman Police has observed that scammers are targeting citizens by sending fraudulent text messages about traffic violations (E-Challan). These messages often contain a link or an APK file (E-Challan Report.apk) designed to steal your personal data or money.

How the Scam Works:

  • You receive an SMS claiming a traffic violation (e.g., jumping a red signal).
  • The message asks you to download an "official app" via a link or APK.
  • Warning: This APK is malware! It can hack your phone and drain your bank account.

🛡️ STAY SAFE - PROTECT OTHERS

DO NOT CLICK on suspicious links. DO NOT DOWNLOAD unknown APK files. Share this message with your friends and family to prevent them from becoming victims of this cyber scam.

Report any suspicious activity to the local Cyber Cell or visit cybercrime.gov.in
